I felt like this activity was benificial for me to outline in my mind a few things that I ought to look for when I am considering using a site with my students. Using an evaluation for is useful in that it helps to not for get little things. But I also think it isn't entirely necessary. Most of the things that I would need to knwo aobut a site are pretty common sense. If I were going to use a site in my class I think I would be able to know wether or not it is something I would like to use, just by using it on my own in preparation for using it with my class.
Something that I hadnt' thought much about before doing this activity is that every webpage has an author and his/her information typically can be found on quality and valid websites. It think it is interesting to learn about the author of a side, just like we learn about the author of a book.

Making the movie was a lot of fun! Aside from it being fun it had a lot of educational value. The process of making the script, filming, and editing the movie would be very beneficial to kids. They would first have to accurately and thoroughly gather information on a specific topic, be familiar enough with the information that they can present it in front of the camera, then in the editing process they will constantly be reviewing that information. By the time they have completed the process, the information should be difficult to forget.

I also think using video cameras is good because it appeals to the different interest of students. There are some students that may be motivated to do the assignment because he get to use something he enjoys in order to do it.

It is also a good way of learning because it gives them the opportunity to develop important life skills that come from planning and working in a group.

Using cameras was something that I thought would have been much too big of a liability. I realized that frame of mind was a product of me being a little bit of a "digital immigrant". Digital cameras are actually rather affordable. It wouldn't be too hard to get enough money in grants for a classroom to have a couple cameras.
Moreover, if we set up good procedures and guidelines, the students will know how to handle the cameras, so they will be safe. I think that with technology teachers have to show a lot of trust, but also have to have high expectations, as well as be strict.
I felt like an assignment like this is particularly valuable, because the student is required to look for things they are learning about in class out in the real world.
